Hi;
I am considering purchasing a dual channel Tube Mic Preamp for my home studio. I am currently using an M-Audio Delta 1010 interface. I am also using a MAudio USB DUO as an A/D converter for channels 9 and 10. I am looking to spend about $250.00 for the preamp. I was looking at an ART DPSII so I could do away with the USB DUO and use the SPDIF out on the DPS but I have heard mixed reviews about it. Has anyone had experience with this MP? Here is a list of Tube MP's (without digital) I am considering: 1. PreSonus BlueTube 2. Behringer Tube Ultragain T1953 3. A Used ART PRO MPA 4. 2 Samson C-Valves As well considering these lower priced preamps, would there be any VST Tube Effect plugins that would give me the same or better results? I would be using it mostly to record vocals with a Studio Projects B1. Your opinions would be appreciated! Thanks; Steve |
