More distressing to me is Sen. Dodd praising of Sen. KKK Byrd as being right
for any time in history. He would have been right at eh founding of the
nation, and during the civil War?????????????? This is exactly the kind of
remark that got Trent Lott into so much trouble.

Both Lott and Dodd were making remarks that were innocent enough in their
context. Lott's were blown into something ugly that they were never intended
to be. Dodd seems to be getting a pass. Of course there's no bias in the
media.
