![]() "George M. Middius" wrote in message news ![]() Speaking of dirty-dealing Republicans.... Recently, India and Pakistan almost nuked each other, or at least gave serious thought to duking it out with tanks and artillery. Then, a few months later, all is quiet on that front, and lo! America's interests are being served. In Pakistan, suddenly Musharraf has taken control of the army and sicced 'em on the terrorists infesting the mountains to the north. At what political cost to him, time will tell. What will that courageous act cost American taxpayers? India backed off from their warlike posture. We know what they are getting in return -- thousands of jobs that used to belong to Americans. This kind of deal is not made in heaven, nor in hell. God bless our boardrooms. So, how do you propose to pay for peace? |
