Thank you very much Stephen. The link to how the "Gore invented the
Internet" story was faked by the media was also very interesting and
perhaps should be required reading for anyone interested in the media
is used to sell a specific idea.

I see that Arny Krueger is complaining that postings like this do not
belong on re.audio.opinion. I, for one, disagree.

Atkinson, that's because you hate music and audio as much as Middius and his
gang of thugs. Since the lot of you have long had critical difficulties
saying anything coherent about audio, you obviously decided to eliminate the
topic here entirely.

It was subsequently shown Atkinson, with your debacle with a so-called
constitutional crisis caused by a president who deigned to wear a flight
suit in a military jet, that you're as clueless about US politics as you are
about audio. I hope that you some day find a topic about which you can say
something cogent and reasonable. How about Lego construction projects?

One dirty hand washes the other, and all that.

Let's see Atkinson edits a successful audiophile journal ofr a living and you
do what? Tell us what was coherent about your comments on Fold es Eg being too
ELP for the new millenium. You can always talk exclusively about audio on RAHE
where non-audio posts are not allowed. Oh, no you can't. you have been banned
from RAHE for being such an asshole. You are a unique charcter, (or should I
say "characture" so you will understand) you dump garbage in the place you
dwell and then complain about the smell of garbage.

I was planning to be in Austin this week for SXSW, but unfortunately
other obligations interfered. Otherwise I would would have called by
the University to say hi.

Thanks for the kind thoughts. I'm cooped up practicing for a recital
which will help me finish the eternal doctorate. (I've gone from
"student older than average" to just plain "old".)

A high school voice student of mine enjoyed hearing Cantus at a choral
convention in Little Rock last week. I'll have to get one of your cds to
see how the Quads compare to the real thing!

This seems like a very peculiar non sequitor. Please offer your
evidence for my hating "music and audio," Mr. Krueger. I would have
thought that as I have been the editor in chief of two leading English
language audio magazines, am a member of NARAS, the AES, and IEEE,
and have designed and built both my audio components and some test
gear, a case could be made for the opposite being true with respect to
audio.

I also would have thought that as that I play violin, clarinet, recorder
(flute a bec), guitar and bass guitar (the latter professionally), have
composed and arranged musical compositions, have produced, engineered,
and played instruments on approximately 50 commercially released
recordings, and have a music collection numbering several thousand CDs,
LPs, SACDs, DVDs, analog cassettes and open-reel tapes, a case could
also be made for the opposite being true with respect to music.

If you disagree, Mr. Krueger, I look forward to seeing your explanation
why none of this experience is relevant, Mr. Krueger. Perhaps you
could compare and contrast your own credentials with mine. :-)

John Atkinson
Editor, Stereophile

Thanks, John, for admitting that all you have is facts !!!

Thanks for admitting Atkionsoon you're living in the last
millennium. Come back and talk to me when you have an Athalon
(TM) PC with hours of live music I recorded and an NJB. My van
loves music more than you and it has a digital console that I've
been there, done that. Yet another of your "look, cake: over

Tain't all I do.

I have no doubt that you get out of bed, get back into bed, eat and
go to the bathroom but most people don't get payed for that either.

Thanks for showing your true educational level by using the illiterate form
of paid, sockpuppet wheel.

But Usenet is your only publicly-known occupation,
sockpuppet wheel.

"I know you are but what am I." Come up with something original for a
change. Stop plagiarizing me.

You're lying sockpuppet. My publicly-known occupation is being a computer
consultant, specializing in hardware and networking. I'm not a wage slave.
I'm sure this causes you great grief.

My occupation is publicly known dip****.

Finally, some truth.

Don't include the public in your ineptitude. You don't know
it because you lack the smarts to figure it out.

You just told me, sockpuppet. I can figure out a clear believable story like
that!

As has been said
before, anyone can find my occupation with a simple google search. It
is a matter of public record.

"s888wheel" and "pedophile" doesn't seem to do a lot a google.

Well, that and the libel suit business you started up in
the hopes of enriching yourself.

Enriching myself by sueing you?

That's that publicly-known dip****s do, right?

BTW check your dictionary sockpuppet wheel. Nobody ever enriched themselves
by sueing anybody. Or is that another one of your uses of the illiterate
form of a common word?

I guess you aren't smart enough to
know you can't squeeze water out of a stone.

Irrelevant.

To bad you are too
stupid and lack the common sense and awareness of right and wrong to
understand the difference between gold-digging and protecting one's
reputation.

How can an unknown anonymous Usenet alias have a reputation?

You will be getting a few things in the mail though.

I get a few things in the mail just about every day. Most go into the trash.
I cash the checks. Ooops, gotta run to the bank!

sockpuppet wheel.

No I am not. Your assertion is just a cheap copy of mine about you.

My publicly-known occupation is being a computer
consultant, specializing in hardware and networking.

Publicly known? How so? The word of a known liar? there is no evidence that I
know of that you have any such occupation. Have any proof?

I'm not a wage slave.
I'm sure this causes you great grief.

You do not make a wage. It causes me amusement when you attack others for their
occupations, people who do make a wage.Hypocrite. I guess all unemployed people
are not wage slaves as you say, but many of them are slaves to poverty. Wages
are a good thing for the most part.

My occupation is publicly known dip****.

Finally, some truth.

I figured the use of a coma might through you off, dip****. Did that help?

Don't include the public in your ineptitude. You don't know
it because you lack the smarts to figure it out.

You just told me, sockpuppet. I can figure out a clear believable story like

Funny how one who fails to use comas would somehow make a victory out of one
left out coma. You must feel real good about yourself.

As has been said

"s888wheel" and "pedophile" doesn't seem to do a lot a google.

Well, that and the libel suit business you started up in

Enriching myself by sueing you?

That's that publicly-known dip****s do, right?

As one dip**** would often say, if irony killed. You should try raising your
own literacy before making it an issue with others, dip****.

BTW check your dictionary sockpuppet wheel. Nobody ever enriched themselves
by sueing anybody. Or is that another one of your uses of the illiterate
form of a common word?

Now you are calling yourself iliterate. Do you realize that? Or are you just
confused again?

I guess you aren't smart enough to
know you can't squeeze water out of a stone.

Irrelevant.

Wrong. If my lawsuit were about money I would have saved my efforts for someone
with money. It is quite relevant to your ridiculous assettion that it is a
business venture.

To bad you are too
stupid and lack the common sense and awareness of right and wrong to
understand the difference between gold-digging and protecting one's
reputation.

How can an unknown anonymous Usenet alias have a reputation?

How can you remain so clueless? are you so stupid that you don't know who I am
even though despite a lawsuit against you? Read the papers again fool. My name
is on them.

You will be getting a few things in the mail though.

To do that, I'd have to somehow find a disability check. Never happened.

If running were a problem for me, then my last 8 day hike in the Porcupine
Mountains would be a heart attack. I've probably done more back country
hiking in California in the past year than you have sockpuppet, and its
allegedly your home state!

My, are we grouchy today. Didja just emerge from a 24-hour mixing
marathon down in the SSL room before the client jetted back to
Europe? Perhaps an all-night emergency ADR session in order to
get the master off to the network just in time for air? Or did
you simply have a bad night's rest on the floor of the van with a
