Sound card for vinyl restoration? Recommendations?

Does anyone have recommendations for a good sound card for vinyl
restoration: e.g. I will probably be playing a phono pre-amp into its line
input.

1. USB vs internal?

2. Soundblaster Audigy vs. Montego II vs. M-Audio, etc?
