Default Phase Problems

I'm recording some drums, and I've read to be on the lookout for phase
problems, but I don't know what to listen for. What will it sound like
if I'm having problems? When recording an acoustic guitar with two
mics, I've noticed an unwanted chorusy effect that kind of sounded like
a phaser. Is that what a phase issue sounds like? Can I just reverse
the phase on the computer or nudge one of the tracks slightly? Thanks
in advance, and sorry for asking such a newbie question.
