Wasn't it good ol' AWOL Chicken George who went off on the Clintons for having
big donors stay in the Lincoln bedroom? It sho' nuff was. But ... Bush Fund-Raisers Among Overnight Guests By SHARON THEIMER, AP WASHINGTON (March 10) - President Bush opened the White House and Camp David to dozens of overnight guests last year, including foreign dignitaries, family friends and at least nine of his biggest campaign fund-raisers, documents show. Several guests spent the night in the historic Lincoln Bedroom. In all, Bush and first lady Laura Bush have invited at least 270 people to stay at the White House and at least the same number to overnight at the Camp David retreat since moving to Washington in January 2001, according to lists the White House provided The Associated Press. Some guests spent a night in the Lincoln Bedroom, historic quarters that gained new fame in the Clinton administration amid allegations that Democrats rewarded major donors like Hollywood heavyweights Steven Spielberg and Barbra Streisand with accommodations there. That scandal and Bush's criticism of it is one of the reasons the White House identifies guests. In a debate with Vice President Al Gore in October 2000, Bush said: "I believe they've moved that sign, `The buck stops here,' from the Oval Office desk to `The buck stops here' on the Lincoln Bedroom. And that's not good for the country." PM |

Don't know exactly what your deal is, pappy, but you comin' across like a old man in a nursing home who sittin' in a wheel chair snotting into his hand and flinging it at the visitors. Case you didn't catch it the first time, lookie here, grandpa Amos: ------------------- "In all, Bush and first lady Laura Bush have invited at least 270 people to stay at the White House and at least the same number to overnight at the Camp David retreat since moving to Washington in January 2001, according to lists the White House provided The Associated Press. Clear case of selective vision: "President Bush opened the White House and Camp David to dozens of overnight guests last year, including foreign dignitaries, family friends and at least nine of his biggest campaign fund-raisers, documents show." Putting the numbers together, would be 9 financial contributors, and at least 531 foreign dignitaries and family friends. Thanks for demonstrating that simple arithmetic eludes you, "Professor". Maybe not. Maybe to you, arithmetic involving three-digit numbers is "higher math". ;-) |

Boy, are you dense. Let me spell it out to you like I would my 7 year old niece. The figure of at least 531 dignitaries and family friends that you calculated is for the entire term (a little over 3 years). The figure of 9 financial contributors was only for LAST YEAR. There is no corresponding figure listed for the previous 2 years. Reread the two paragraphs again and you see the phrases "since moving to Washington in January 2001" and "last year" in the respective paragraphs. Your mistake is tying the two sets of figures together. You're dismissed now. Back to the sandbox with you. Lunch will be ready shortly though. |

BTW, how is that libel suit against me coming, you know one that you've been intentionally missing court appointments about? Was that by choice? The antecedent of the word "that" seems to be doubtful. Correctly and clearly describe my true occupation, and I'll affirm that it was a choice that I made.
