Default WTB: Echo Layla24 Cardbus adaptor

Hi all

If anyone has a Cardbus adaptor for a Layla24 at a *reasonable* price,
please let me know.

Thanks!

Ryan

A reasonable person wouldn't separate the card and the box. If you
bought this without the card, ask the seller for it. If you have a dead
card, have you asked Echo about getting it repaired or exchanged? And
if you're dreaming that someone has a Layla24 with a dead box and good
card, well, sometimes **** happens.

I'm not accusing you of anything shady at this point, but posts about
getting the "missing" part of a system often raise suspicions around
here, hence follow-on questions that you might well answer with "none
of your business." (and it really isn't)

FYI, the Layla24 was sold in two configurations, PCI and Cardbus. I
have a PCI setup. I would like to use it with a laptop. Apologies
begrudgingly accepted.

Why sure, everybody knows that, don't they? Everybody but me, I guess.

If I was looking for what you're looking for, I would have added that
to the original post, perhaps suggesting that someone with the other
configuration might want to swap. But I suspect that, with the
prevalence of laptop computers these days, it's more likely that there
are more with your setup who would like to switch to a laptop, just
like you.

Can you buy the card from Echo?

Apologies begrudgingly accepted.

Apology (for what, I'm not sure) grudingly offered.

Echo also sold the PCI and PCMCIA adaptors on their own for those who
had need. So it's quite possible that someone may have a spare card.

I feel the need to clarify that this post was typed on my own,
undamaged PC, paid for with my own money, earned by respectable labour
.. . .

Chill out, Ryan. We've had several postings in just the last week, where
the poster asked for serial numbers and un-lock codes to software. Most,
like you, pay for their hardware and software and have little patience with
those that don't. Not being familiar with the Layla and its several
versions, I wondered at your original post, too.

I've got one I'm not using.
Assuming you need the special cable also?

LOL. I guess I'm mildly more chilled than the (rather misinformed)
Karma Police trawling the newsgroup.

Any chance that someone else out there has an Echo Layla24 cardbus
adapter they'd be willing to sell? I'm in the same boat. Thanks!

I offered mine, but the OP is in Africa, and the cost to ship it
likely exceeds what it is worth even if I gave it to him for free.
:-( Unless somebody has some suggestion for economical
shipping to Africa?
