If you bought this without the card, ask the seller for it. If you have a dead card, have you asked Echo about getting it repaired or exchanged? And if you're dreaming that someone has a Layla24 with a dead box and good card, well, sometimes **** happens. I'm not accusing you of anything shady at this point, but posts about getting the "missing" part of a system often raise suspicions around here, hence follow-on questions that you might well answer with "none of your business." (and it really isn't) |

(and it really isn't) FYI, the Layla24 was sold in two configurations, PCI and Cardbus. I have a PCI setup. I would like to use it with a laptop. Apologies begrudgingly accepted. |

Everybody but me, I guess. If I was looking for what you're looking for, I would have added that to the original post, perhaps suggesting that someone with the other configuration might want to swap. But I suspect that, with the prevalence of laptop computers these days, it's more likely that there are more with your setup who would like to switch to a laptop, just like you. Can you buy the card from Echo? Apologies begrudgingly accepted. Apology (for what, I'm not sure) grudingly offered. |

Echo also sold the PCI and PCMCIA adaptors on their own for those who had need. So it's quite possible that someone may have a spare card. Apology (for what, I'm not sure) grudingly offered. I feel the need to clarify that this post was typed on my own, undamaged PC, paid for with my own money, earned by respectable labour .. . . |

We've had several postings in just the last week, where the poster asked for serial numbers and un-lock codes to software. Most, like you, pay for their hardware and software and have little patience with those that don't. Not being familiar with the Layla and its several versions, I wondered at your original post, too. Any chance that someone else out there has an Echo Layla24 cardbus
adapter they'd be willing to sell? I'm in the same boat. Thanks! -ben Richard Crowley wrote: I've got one I'm not using. Assuming you need the special cable also? remove the numeral to reply via email |
