Jeff Buckley Grace is one of my all time favorite albums from musical
wise, production wise and engineering wise. Everyone I know that has it including myself blasts the album - volume *way* up. It's just a really great sounding, totally engaging piece of work. One think I noticed today is that the average level on the CD is very low in comparison to just about everything I have. Now, this album is just made to be played loud - Anyone a fan of this album produced and mixed by Andy Wallace, and any comments / speculation as to why it's mastered so "softly"? |
