Hello,
The Left LED's are slowly dying on my mackie cr-1604(nonvlz), also the left channel main out is becoming muffled. I assume it might be the ribbon cable? If that's the case..I seek a professional opinion of someone who has done the repair..how tedious is the fix? and is this a problem that keeps coming back even after you fix it? I like the board fine, I'm not doing (or think I'm doing) professional recordings, just a guy with an eight track really. So I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons of doing the repair or just forgettin about it..and getting something new or used that's similar... any opinions welcomed, Thanks, Brian p.s.-one positive of all of this is that I've been monitoring in mono. It's helped me really hear what's going on phase wise etc. and I am actually starting to reconsider my mixes a bit. |
