Hi, I have just returned from recording my band in studio. Since we are
between recording and mixing I thought I should do some editing to save time and money. Problem is that I do not have protools on this computer, only Adobes Audition. Do I need to do the editing in ProTools in order to continue working on this material in the studio again or is there an alternative program I could use for this without having to buy Protools and sound card? |

![]() It'll probably be time to go back to the studiio by the time you get P.Tool's etc. up and running. Why don't you just do some test edits on what you have and make an Edit list and just edit it on P.Tools when you get back to the studio. The most time consuming part of editing on tools is the listening bit... Dave. |

if you open the original session and make contiguous soundfiles out of
each track you can then import these files into any 'like' program for editing/overdubbing. you then bounce each of the edited tracks, make them all one length and export them to SDII files. make a new session in PT, import the edited tracks and mix. granted, a sort of twisted method, but that's the only way i can think of. i do this on my mac for tracks to go back to a PC guy pretty regularly in my little studio. hope this helps, gary0 Bob wrote: PTfree cheers, Bob schreef in bericht oups.com...
