Dear people,
I'm thinking about upgrading my current speakers (JBL Northridge E30, bookshelf speakers). The sound is not bad, but there's a clear lack of bass. The options I'm considering are JM Lab Chorus 726 S or JM Lab Chorus 716 S. The prices a JM Lab 726 S: 369€ each. JM Lab 716 S: 249€ each. I've also thought about B&W 603 (450€ each), but I've got already those speakers in another house and I would like to change. Do you think it is worth the extra money asked for the JM Lab 726 S compared to the much lower price of the JM Lab 716 S? By the way, the source is an Onkyo stereo receiver (Onkyo TX-8511). Thanks for your help, |

Ok, thanks, but I was also expecting some more quality from the JM Labs
compared to the JBL... anyway, since it is a stereo receiver, I hadn't thought about adding a subwoofer... Thanks for the opinion. ha escrit: Pixies wrote: Dear people, I'm thinking about upgrading my current speakers (JBL Northridge E30, bookshelf speakers). Well, quality is different than just frequency response. I've heard plenty of large PA speakers that have loads of deep bass, but you wouldn't ever mistake them for high fidelity. But NYOB is on the money here - if it's just the fact that you feel you're missing the bottom two or three octaves, add a powered subwoofer. //Walt |
