record Oasis ever made. Although it displays them at their purest, the
relentless buzz of multi-tracked guitars turned up to 11 does tend to get a bit
wearing after a while.

The original sessions were such a disaster the band had to record the whole
thing twice. The producer Owen Morris was called in to untangle the mess and
found Noel Gallagher had laid down so many tracks of lead guitar that he had to
wipe some off without even listening, just to make space to work.

Liam's errant vocals had to be autotuned and the distinctive drum sound was
achieved by drenching them in echo to disguise Tony Carroll's poor
time-keeping."
