Default Recommended XP allocation unit size for video/audio?

Getting ready to format a 120 gig disk that's primarily used for
video/audio capture. It asks what allocation unit size I want to use.
Any opinions on this?

Thanks

Btw, using it as one large partition.

A/V are large files, so get the largest, which is 64k. This speeds up
file-transfers.

Absolutely, if your primary application for the drive is multimedia
content, especially large high-resolution (24/192 PCM) multi-track
audio files and/or large video files, use a 64 kB (kilobyte) cluster
size (allocation unit).

The only downside that I know of when using other than the standard
default cluster size of 4 kB is that you can't use NTFS's built-in
compression facility.

A few days ago I added a 500 GB (gigabyte) external drive (Glyph GT
050Q) to one of the systems here and specified 64 kB clusters. By the
way, a few minutes ago I filled it up. Space truly *is* the final
frontier.
