Hey, it has been months since I last posted, and for good
reason: I am busy doing interesting and productive things and I also realize that corresponding with most members of this group is a waste of time. Incidentally, I am happily retired (well, semi-retired) from the audio-journalism business, and glad to be done with it. I am still interested in audio (have made some upgrades to both my audio and video gear lately) and realize more than ever that it is easy to get really good sound without spending gobs of money. Some of you nitwits will never realize this, of course. Mercifully, for the nitwit contingent ignorance is often bliss. Unfortunately, as one who is now viewing the situation from the outside, I can say that the hobby is a mess. One reason it is a mess (economic and obvious con-artist issues aside) is because of people like you. Well, at least in part because of most of you. Yep, most of you need to both get smart and get a life. I'll check back way into the future to see if this happens at least in a few cases. I have little hope, however. Howard Ferstler |

![]() Brother Horace the Infinitely Dense croaked: I am ... a waste of time. I am happily ... more than ... a ... nitwit. I [am] a mess. I have little hope, however. So you're telling us that, basically, you're still just waiting for the end? -- A day without Krooger is like a day without arsenic. |
