Default My DIY bass traps project

I've just completed a DIY bass traps project for my home studio.

My problem was that my bass drum and 16" floor tom were either
completely dead or too boomy, depending on tuning and placement in the
room. Since the standing waves were interfering with the
sound-generating surface itself (ie, the drumhead), no amount of
close-micing would fix it.

In Australia, RealTraps are not the affordable godsend they are in the
US, so I went the DIY route. I am very pleased with the results, and
you may view the whole story at www.cloneensemble.com/basstraps.htm

ciao,
Trevor Magnusson
