I am in the aviation field and some pilots use noise cancellation head
sets. There is a microphone that picks up the ambient noise in the cockpit and it gets processed by a computer and a noise file that is 180 degrees out is played into the headset speakers. This noise cancels out the aircraft engine noise.. Are there and mp3 files of 747 aircraft that you could play on an ipod or mp3 player that would serve as the same thing? I am thinking that if the noise in the cabin of a 747 would be recorded, and then processed through a computer to make a file that is the oppisite wave signature(180 degrees out). Then this file would be downloaded to a mp3 player or a ipod. While traveling, you could play this noise file. Any pointers to such a site would be appreciated. Pat |
