I am looking for a CD changer or system that would have as many as
possible of the the following characteristics:

- can hold 300+ CD
- connects to CDDB to get the songs titles, and CD artwork.
- Allow easy search of songs, albums and artists.
- in Shuffle mode over several discs, I wish to have no delay between
2 songs (10 seconds is way too long and breaks the flow).
- Ability to group songs (2 or more) on the same disc so that, in
Shuffle mode, these songs play together.
- User-friendly interface; if possible using a touchscreen LCD.
- Album volume adjustment, so that, in Shuffle mode, one album does
not play exaggerately louder than any other disc.

I would prefer a solution that would use my CD collection as opposed
to a computer solution where all the CDs would have to be ripped to
hard disk. If you have such a solution to propose, I am open to read
about it, but be advised of the following:

- I would have to be very user-friendly. Although I am very
computer-savvy and very technical I wish all family members can use
it. So an interface such as the Escient would be best. I do not wish
to have another computer, I wish to have something to control my CD
collection. I know how computers work but I still consider them mostly
not user-friendly.
- It has to be very easy to rip a new CD to add to the system.
- It will have to be able to fit in a tiny PC or something like that,
so I can fit it besides my sound system. It would have to be silent
and not take 30 seconds to boot (or be able to stay on 24/7/365).
- I still want a touchscreen LCD to get a better user-friendliness of
the system (no mouse).
