Why Bush's Iraq war violates the U.N. Charter:
http://www.asil.org/taskforce/oconnell.pdf No wonder it's so hard to find a majority of people in any country around the world that respects America any more. |

The fact that there are so many Americans that are driven by hate and greed as Jim Sanders has nothing at all to do with this, right? BTW Sanders, who is "Howard Dean" and why aren't you pushing him down our throats so hard any more? |

Obviously this document is in serious need of revision having been drafted prior to the proliferation of WMD. Possibly if the charter had included provisions for pre-emptive strikes the UN might hava had a little more success limiting the size of the nuclear club. In any case, I see this provision has no authorization for the actions Kennedy took or would have taken had Kruschev not backed down. It also contains no provisions to authorize the numerous military actions Clinton took around the world. Why was your criticism so muted during those times? ScottW |
