Former classical pianist seeks advice and opinions on getting started
as electronic music hobbyist. The only stipulation is that I want to be able to create "new" sounds, not just play around with sounds I get off a CD. Questions that came up in previous discussions: Computer with midi controller vs. keyboard with built-in sequencer? If keyboard, relative merits of different brands. Features to look for? If computer, Mac vs. PC? Relative merits of software by Sound Forge/Cakewalk/Propellerhead/NI? Any advice is much appreciated! Vina |
