Default Berlin on Bands Reunited on VH1

Warm and fuzzies after seeing the "We're gettin' the band back
together" Berlin episode on VH1.

And it got me pulling out my Berlin albums (I've two out of three -
well, one EP and one LP g). Talk about reliving memories! Definitely
reminds me of my Colorado days (I saw them headline a gig at Red Rocks
with openers Talk Talk and mid-liner Stevie Ray Vaughn). That was one
of the best shows I've ever seen.

The main reason that I'm posting this is to say how well their third
album holds up. It was a Bob Ezrin production and it really sounds
great. Also, for those of you David Gilmour fans, perhaps you don't
know that he did the lead work on the final track - "Pink and Velvet",
one of the very first AIDS-related songs (and if you've never heard
it, it's classic Gilmour). And if you happen to be a Ted Nugent fan as
well, he goes berzerk on the great stomper, "Trash". If you like
Anthemic Rock that doesn't suck, you could do a lot worse than picking
up "Count Three and Pray". Of course, I hope that you have "Pleasure
Victim" as well...it was fun to play that as well...

Terri Nunn's still got it, vocally speaking. And it turns out that
their lead guitarist lives here in Nashville...

I really like this show. I'm glad they are repeating it since I have
have missed some segments on their first airing.

I missed almost the whole John Crawford segment due to a storm that
blew through.

I'm going to have to catch it again - I might actually put this one on
tape because it was pretty cool.

IIRC, their third album is not really Berlin per se, it is Terri Nunn
singing and other musicians backing her up.

Not really, since John Crawford still wrote most of the songs and
plays on it. However, I know what you're saying. It's a punchier,
crunchier record than their previous efforts, but there were still
traces of the original "electronic" sound. I think the song Trash
ROCKS, but it certainly doesn't sound like anything off of Pleasure
Victim. It's almost a Bob Ezrin and guests album over that of a Berlin
album.

Terri Nunn's still got it, vocally speaking.

Not surprising. They mentioned she is still performing.

She has her *own* version of Berlin that tours and puts out records.
Remember, she talked about buying the name.

And it turns out that
their lead guitarist lives here in Nashville...

Head of security at Gibson.

Yeah, I thought that was funny.
