I picked up a Marshal MXL that claims to be self powered....put the 9-
volt in and tried it, but I'm getting no sound. Is it under powered or broken? You get what you pay for :P -- * Posted with NewsLeecher v3.0 Beta 7 * http://www.newsleecher.com/?usenet |

LOL....The battery is in correctly....It's a Marshall MXL DRK....I'm
using an XLR to 3.5mm plug to send it to my soundcard. It's either that the mic is screwed, or that it's (hopefully) underpowered. I thought there'd be plenty of guys here to tell me that the line voltage on a fairly large diameter condenser mic would be too low powered by a 9 volt battery alone. -- * Posted with NewsLeecher v3.0 Beta 7 * http://www.newsleecher.com/?usenet |

Heh...it was a setting on my soundcard's mic input...apparently, it
won't look for a mic in an obvious spot when the 'front panel mic' is selected. I'm thinking it could still use a little more voltage tho. -- * Posted with NewsLeecher v3.0 Beta 7 * http://www.newsleecher.com/?usenet |
