Default Ok Guys, help the new audio newsgroup junkie with the cyber culture

Hi Everyone,

I'm just joining in and have a few edicate questions:

1.What are the popular acronyms. I think I've got IMO, IMHO, and RAO figured
out. But what do
WRT, AFAIC, and YMMV mean? Are there others?

2. Am I supposed to put my reply on the top or the bottom of the thread?

Thanks,

Wessel

I'm afraid that here the most popular is "ROTFLMAO" ;-)

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ROTFLMAO

Usually on the bottom

Thanks,

You're welcome (in the jungle...) :-)

Also, FWIW= for what it's worth, which is usually zero.

What it really means:

IMHO: "please don't flame me."
IMO: "looking for an argument"
LOL: "**** your mother", said with pursed lips
ROTFL: epileptic seizure
YMMV: "This only works for me."
RAO: "Run Assholes Out"; a public place where people feel free to
regress into infantilism. For example, Arny Krueger acts like he is two
years old.
AFAIC: "My ears are plugged."
WRT: universally true

Another useful term is the "tacit admission". If one's enemy steadfastedly
refuses to make any concession to your point of view, you can say that he
"tacitly admits" you are correct.
