I've been looking around for a somewhat decent surround sound system with
the total cost being somewhere around $1500 for the reciever and speakers. The SO wants to have the speakers as unobtrusive as possible however I have a fundamental problem with these 2" or so "surround sound" speakers. I just don't see how they produce the midranges. We found the Athena's and she thought they looked OK and they sounded pretty good and the specs look alright. The tough part is finding reviews on the speakers. I plan on pairing the speakers with the Yamaha HTR-5660 and the Athena PS-300 subwoofer. Thoughts? |
