Unhappy Small record deck out/in to mini hi fi?

First time on this forum and after trawling through many, many posts apart from getting a headache I don't see any references to this.

I have an old separates Sony hi-fi system, (not as old as I am I can tell you!)which I'm getting rid of (takes too much space), and I am wanting to get a reasonably priced nice little Micro/Mini CD player instead. (50watts ish or more)
However I have a small turntable, (we have lots of old vinyl records) which presently is plugged in to the hi-f,i to use it's amp I suppose.

Does anybody know or recommend a mico/mini system that actually has an input facility to take a record player. I asked in Curry and Comet and they looked at me as if I had two heads!
I also noticed that in most of their tech data on the box or manual of these things - it seems that inputs is almost unheard of.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Why not just buy a mini system that has an Aux In (line inputs) and buy a
separate phono preamp to go between? There are lots of models to choose
from these days. A quick web search for "phono preamp" will turn up a

lot.

Agreed.I think it's impossible to find a mini system "all-in-one"with a
phono input. In the best case they come with an aux in.Only some receivers
and intergrated amps do have it, but this is out of the question, as Boswell
wants some small, mini unit. So, either search for a turntable with built in
pre-amp, or get a separate pre amp to use the already existing turntable.

Boswell..
Hi,
Replied to this myself as I found some systems that did what I wanted. Just that all the previous ones I looked at did not have an aux in.

Problem solved - no answers/replies required.
