These speakers are the first revision from Anthony Gallo.
The set of the "Ultimates" are very rare in that there was only 2 or 3
of these produced

All of the speakers enclosures are made from a "plastic" or
Polyurethane material rather than the Reference II and on versions
which were made out of aluminum. The Speaker enclosures have the Cardas
connections on the back and are much more configurable than the newer
Aluminum Reference models. In the Picture below you can see that there
are connections are external on all drivers in addition to the tweeter.
This allows you to run different types of configurations. 8 Ohm, 2 Ohm,
Bi Wire, etc. Also included with these speakers is a variety of Caps.
With the first version of the Gallos you have the ability to change the
frequency to run the tweeters and drivers at. In the Reviews posted at

there are a few people that explain how useful this is.

The Ultimates are made up of FOUR 7" Dynaudio drivers and the Gallo
Tweeter rather than just TWO drivers on the Reference model. The Solo
is a single driver and the tweeter.

I have personally compared these against both versions of the Aluminum
Reference II speakers and found that the "plastic" models have a much
better Bass response than the Aluminum. The only drawback to the
plastic model is the asthetics of the plastic textured speaker isn't as
"sexy" as the newer aluminum solid color speakers.

I also found out that these speakers love power!!!! With the capability
of running the references in a 2 Ohm mode I was able to get nearly 600W
per side from my McCormack DNA-1 Deluxe amp and they loved it!!! On the
flip side of this I have also run a 30w tube amp to these and they
performed outstanding. The Gallos really show off the weakness or
strength of your components. Other speakers I have had didnt come close
to being able to reproduce the music the way these do.

This auction is for the complete set of Gallos. I used these for
listening to music but also built out a 5.1 theater which is the best
of both worlds. I will considering Selling the sets off seperately but
would prefer to sell all 5 speakers together.
