Hello,
I just purchased a Yamaha RVX1400 receiver and Bose series III speakers. With the Yamaha receiver you can hook up two extra speakers for separate rooms. I am thinking of one for the kitchen and one outdoor speaker for the patio. 1. I would like your suggestions on what brand names to go with on the 2 extra speakers from anyone out there with similar setup experience (My budget is 200 to 300 in total for both). 2. Also, if I were to insert the speakers into the kitchen ceiling (drywall) and run wires, is that an expensive job I am dreaming of now? If it is, is there any other ways of doing a clean setup with out having wires too many wires running on the edge of the ceiling? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. Apkesh |

Try to place them on a wall. For that, you would need "sealed" speakers. |

Apkesh You should watch these flat speakers that you can hang on the wall. Dimensions are about 30 x 20 cm (12 x 8 in.) I have heard some of them recently, no bass but a very *pleasant* sound on a guitar arpeggio and human voice. Lionel PS : I try to look for the link... |

Take the speakers back. Get the Mirage indoor/outdoor models. They are by far the best of their type for $300 a pair or less. No contest compared to Bose - these are better in every way. |
