dont you mean books about recording audio?
my fav book is 'mixing with your mind' by Michael Paul Stavrou. i'm reading it at the moment. actually only a few chapters in, but it describes exactly how to setup your room for the best and most accurate sound. i'm only a newbie at audio recording, but it is really easy to understand. i'm looking forward to implementing some of his ideas. awesomeness. |

I fully agree, really excellent! Also another great listen is also by Alexander McCall Smith called 'Espresso Tales', a 5 CD book from Time Warner. Also highly recommend Garrison Keillor's 'Lake Wobegon Days' on 2 CD's by the BBC Radio Collection. Real 'theatre of the mind' stuff.. Mike |

I meant AUDIO reference type books ie. decibels, compression etc. http://www.venhaus1.com/audiobooks.html Some audiophile floobydust, but also some good books. Master Handbook of Acoustics by F. Alton Everest Mastering Audio: The Art and the Science by Bob Katz Then there's the Yamaha book: YAMAHA SOUND REINFORCEMENT BOOK Books? This is the day of on-line references that are worth a darn.: The rec.audio.pro faq http://www.rane.com/digi-dic.html http://www.doctorproaudio.com/doctor/temas_en.htm Also, if you look up an audio-related term at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page , the article quality is pretty good. |

Check out which has the most info for each entry, and especially when there's a discrepancy, look up other sources of info to see what's correct and what's not. thanks, |
