Han D Mag & Magnetometer questions

I'm assuming that the Han D Mag is fine for semi pro TEAC/TASCAM 1/4"
reel to reel recorders but can it be also safely used on cassette decks
?

Also, how does one use the Annis Magnetometer ? It's the one with -5
-2.5 0 +2.5 +5 scale.
