Hello,
This has been covered in bits and pieces of other threads before.. but I'm wanting to record electric guitar for without miking an amp, and I've provisionaly narrowed it down to either getting Guitar Rig2 or the Sansamp PSA-1 and using computer plugin FXs in addition... The type of music I'm trying to record isn't heavy metal or straight up rock, but more moody emo layered melodic popish rock (a la rilo kiley / badly drawn boy / stars / cold play etc), so quite a lot of different types of guitars with different heaviness and fx layered one on top of another in addition to alot of synths... I have an amp modeler (J-station), and wasnt too satisfied with the sound so veering away from the POD path right now. Any suggestions if either the Guitar Rig2 or PSA-1 with plugin efx is a better route to take given the type of music I'm wanting to compose? Thanks... |
