Out of curiosity, when your rig is set up at normal recording levels,
say for an acoustic guitar, what does your meter read with noone in the
room? Please indicate what kind of environment it is - i.e. treated
studio, your living room, etc.

How quiet do you feel is quiet enough to not require any noise
reduction software?
