Happily, as result of a youthful indescretion, I have a LUNATEC V-3 in
need of a flash memory recorder. If I am going to use the recorder for 16 bit 44.1 or 48 kHz sampling, is there any SONIC difference between a less expensive (MicroTrack) as compared with a more costly (PMD670), or other, recorder? I was looking at the Sound Design 722 untill I read on their site that even the $2300+ 722 would benefit from a better preamp -- of course they were recommending one of their own products, but as I already have the LUNATEC... The recorder wouldn't use any on board AD or DA processing, preamplification etc. Any suggestions, observations appreciated, TIA, alan |
