RIPOFF ALERT!

These are great speakers, some of my favorites The last pair I had
sold quickly for $400.

$56 is, of course, completley laughable for these speakers, given their
quality, their sound, and how sought after they are. As has been said
more than once on this board, blue book "value" is +/- meaningless when
it comes to this stuff; it's what it will sell for that counts, and
these routinely go on Ebay for low $300s to high $400s. It's pretty
sad, pathetic really, that you don't have better, more productive
things to do with your time. I almost feel sorry for you.

Average retail ranges from 300 to 430 dollars (C to A) with "pawnshop"
rip-off wholesale being 40 to 50 percent of that amount. 56 dollars won't
buy a woofer or a midrange for these speakers. Are you a troll?

I'd just like to thank all of you for your supporting comments re. the
fair pricing of my speakers. I don't want one dazed and confused
maniac creating the impression that I'm trying to rip off some
unsuspecting buyer. Although that's not really a concern, because the
readers of this group are very well-informed about this stuff. Thanks

Me too.....sorry I ever sold 'em! One of the nicest loudspeaker systems
I've owned. $56 would be fair for a pair of 'AudioLine' white van
speakers-but not a good condition ADS!

Take those speakers to the local HiFi store that takes trade ins and you
will find that they will offer you $56 for them. McFarty neglects to mention
that the prices he quotes are trade in prices. Not a price you should expect
when you do a private sale.

I always liked their speakers.............I picked up a pair of the later
version (L1210?) a few years back from Saturday Audio Exchange for around
400 dollars. Did these speakers use the cast frame drivers that the later
versions used?

I knew that number was wrong! The speakers I have are the L-1290s.
