Record from Wave Input on Laptop
On my desktop machine, I can record whatever audio is being processed
by selecting the Recording properties from the volume program located in the bottom right tray. On my laptop, which is a Compact Presario 2010US, I do not have that feature. I sometimes want to record what's going on in Realaudio and so on with my recording program (Soundforge), so how do I fix this? Thanks. -- Robert Pearson ParaMind Brainstorming Software http://www.paramind.net Creative Virtue Press/Telical Books/Regenerative Music http://www.rspearson.com/ |

You could install a software product that inserts an audio "driver" whose only job is to capture the bit- stream (and then pass it along through the remainder of the normal chain). One such product is "Total Recorder" from www.highcriteria.com $12 recommended |

Thanks.
Can I just install some of the software that came with my SB Live card? There is some interesting stuff there. Of course the drivers I won't install because my laptop isn't using a Live card, but the Desktop is and that must be why it records Wave. -- Robert Pearson ParaMind Brainstorming Software http://www.paramind.net Creative Virtue Press/Telical Books/Regenerative Music http://www.rspearson.com/ |
