Hello RAOers, hope you've all been having fun while I was at Monster.

After a
year and change, I'm no longer working in the Monster trenches, but it

sure was
fascinating to see things from the other side of the fence. I thought I

knew
what was going on, but nooooooooooo!

I've begun contributing to Positive Feedback Online while I reorganize

my
work situation, and you can find the first Scull Factor at the following

URL:
http://www.positive-feedback.com/Issue8/js1.htm

I suspect that this is the way that Scull admits to the end of his brief
relationship with that snake-oil cable company he was shilling for.

Was it "I'm no longer working in the Monster trenches" that clued you in?

I can only presume that this would be a subtle point that needs to be
pointed out to people working at your level of perception, Stephen.

I think you have more options than that. If you were trying to be
obvious, you came up short.

Thank you, Jeffrey. Instead of the bickering and backbiting my post generated
- which leaves me weak with laughter - I'll just say we all need to have some
fun and enjoy our pursuit. Audio pursuits, that is, not busting buns or
snapping your twig off at its root. (Can't wait to see what Arnie makes of that
last reference!) (If he still has a twig.)

The joy and wonder of music is what this world needs, I tells ya!

Regards,
J-10

Will he do any better than Singh?

You certainly have the face for magazine writing...

And really, a Paulin Ribbon Chair?

You may or may not be the first audio reviewer to name drop
mid-century furniture, but I sure as hell hope you're the last.

Besides, lacking anything by George Nelson prevents you from calling
it a collection.

Oh, the site? Smug AND insecure. Congratulations.

****ing hell. :-(

I always loved to hear the whining from the musclebound lesbian

54. Heart attack. :-(

Hated the chart stuff, but with blues he was in his element.

Uhh, he never really did the blues.

More like rock and r&b.

Is that Robert Palmer the singer or Robert Palmer the music writer? Oh,
wait, I think the latter already passed.

J10 Scull waxed joyously:

The joy and wonder of music is what this world needs, I tells ya!

So why did you get booted from Stereophile?

For keeping the pricey equipment after giving it glowing reviews,
or for the premeditated hatchet job on the power cord company?

Atkinson only mutters terse, cryptic vagaries as to why.

You're correct. He died about 4 years ago, IIRC. A really nice guy and
a good clarinet player as well. And a hell of a writer.

I read his book "Deep Blues", which I liked a lot. He was also in a
documentary by Robert Mugge about the blues, which I'm pretty sure they
titled "Deep Blues" as well. Both Robert Palmers were good guys.

Yes they were.

The only time I saw Robert Palmer the singer was when he was a
long-haired co-singer with Elkie Brooks in the British "blues" band
(there's that word again) Vinegar Joe. They opened for Wishbone Ash in
1974. Both he and Elike were prettly good "belters".
