Default Sound? Advice

Hello Group,
I am looking for a little input with "sidecar"
boards. What I'd like to hear about are 8+ inputs of
"Something" with the kick (tonal quality) of a Trident 75
or 80B or Neve...to smack analog as well helping out
the usual digital whimpiness. Also any IC mods for a
Soundcraft 200B would be a consideration. This is
for a publishing house room not a commercial studio.

Thanks Again,
jimmy

First thing you need is about 10 grand.
The Manley and the Chandler stuff looks great. I really like the
chandler mic. pre. I don't know too much about the manley, but if their
massive passive is anything to go by...
A neve kelso goes for about 10 grand these days...
Trident S-100???
