Hi,
I wonder if anyone has any opinions on the above. I bought the er 4s in part because I couldn't stand the E2C's insertion system and discomfort from its foam sleeves (none of the rubber tips would even fit me), Ironically I managed to salvage the E2Cs by putting an Etymotic flange over the Shure's port, and now I'm using a foam sleeve on the ER 4--much easier insertion and far more comfortable than the Shure's. Sound seems to be different, however, clearer, more detailed highs, perhaps a bit more fatiguing, but I've only listened to a few recordings thus far. Any opinions on the difference ... or is it just in my head?
