I have a Goodmans GCE7103CD CD player. I put it in my Vauxhall Omega and it
worked fine. However, when I changed my car to a Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec and put it in that, the memory function, for remembering the radio stations, failed to work. I was told that changing the red and yellow wires over on the cable would rectify this problem, and it did. However now, within a few seconds of the stereo being switched on, the inline 0.5amp fuse blows (which is situated on the orange memory wire according to the manual). I've changed the fuse many times now and it keeps on blowing within a few seconds of the stereo being switched on. Does anyone have a solution to prevent this from happing all of the time? Is the fuse too low, as a 0.5ampage seems very low to me. The wires aren't overheating due to being clumped together too tightly, which was mentioned to me as a possible cause. Thanks in advance.
