I disconected the alarm system in my vw golf now my cd deck wont work.
Im using a eclipse cd8443. on the the face of the deck all it reads is
"security 7b501608" any idea how i can get this thing to work??

Be prepared to send it to Cali to be reset.. I hope you registered it.. I
have a 55430(?) ,2000 model year. Had it removed/uninstalled for almost 2
yrs and got a 'Call Eclipse' when I installed it my new car..
Had to fax them a copy of my drivers license, registration, and copy of the
bottom of the unit..
Then still had to send it off for them to reset it..
I had a low-end Eclipse that did the same thing, only after calling them, I
punched in a few codes and bing!..

Oh..The unit will need to be powered up when you call them.. So get a
cordless or cell phone and call from your car..
