Just looking for some advice on a basic studio setup (Hardware & Software). I
have a Pro Tools/MBox setup already, using a couple of shure SM 57s to mic
vocals and amps.

looking in particular for advice on mics for piano (or a resonably priced
keyboard suitable for DI) and ensemble strings/orchestra, soft/hardware synths
with a focus on versatilty, and essential hardware or software effects. Budget
is somewhat of an issue, as i am still a student.
