Mackie Onyx 400F?
Was just browsing through a catalog from BSW that I received yesterday, and
a small second line added to the Onyx 800 mic preamp listening caught my attention...then above a brief description of the Onyx 400F firewire preamp/interface. It's configuration reads like a replica of the MOTU traveler only using Mackie's Onyx preamps and no mention of power supply type. Mackie's web site still has no mention of such a device. Does anybody know anything about this item? Is it vaporware, or was that a premature catalog reference. If the latter, does anybody know of an approximate release date? I'm in the market for such gear, and was hoping for something like this from Mackie, featuring the Onyx preamps. So I'm anxious to find out. Thanks. |

Life's like that. Thanks, Mike. Subsequent to my post I discovered that Swee****er has added it to their online catalog, as has B&H, but no pics as yet. Oddly, BSW has not added it online. The Mackie web site still does not have it, but has added a text link directing the click to a PR news release issued in conjunction with CES. So, it looks like it will be imminent with all this activity in the last week or so...at least I hope so. |
