Default Three button momentary footswitch (TRS) ?

Hi there,

I'd like to find a three button footswitch with momentary, not toggle,
switches. Anyone got any leads ?

This is for use with a Lexicon G2. The folks at Lexicon recommended a
Digitech FS300, but it uses toggle switches, which don't work
particularly well with the Lexicon, since the Lexicon doesn't respond to
the state of the pedal when changing patches. Also, the Lexicon needs a
momentary footswitch to work conveniently with tempo tapping.

Anyone know of a good three button footswitch that uses momentary
switches ? The Lexicon has a 1/4" TRS input, so ideally, that's what
the footswitch would output...

I've asked Digitech about their FS300 and about the GNXFC... both of
them use toggle switches. The only momentary triple footswitches I've
seen have been designed for piano/organ use, and they're much larger and
heavier than I need. Since I frequently fly with my gear, the size and
weight are considerations.

If it's possible to buy this kind of footswitch pre-made, I'd MUCH
prefer that to trying to build my own, but if anyone has experience in
that area, I'd appreciate any input there as well.

Thanks for any advice!

James

Try Grainger Supply.

If worse comes to worst, you can get three heavy-duty momentary pushbuttons
from Grainger and put them in a diecast box.

For any of the industrial switches, you will have to add your own wiring
and connectors.

Hi James,

I have one of those Digitech FS300's. They are nicely made. I think it
would be easiest to get one of those and then buy three momentary switches
and replace the existing ones. Try Digikey
http://dkc3.digikey.com/PDF/T052/1219.pdf for the switches

Check this out on Ebay too :

Line 6 has to different models.
http://www.line6.com/products.html?category=7 I'm guessing you would have
to rewire them to work with what you have though.

Best of luck.

Scott, John,

Thanks for the advice, you two!

I was hoping someone manufactured exactly what I'm looking for, but it
appears that isn't the case. Thanks for the home-brew suggestions!

James
