Nevaton 416
As a Russian mic fan I've been really impressed by some reviews and samples
of the Nevaton 416 mic. Only problem is they seem pretty difficult to source in Europe. I contacted Nevaton and received a nice letter from the head of the company(!) forwarding me to their Swedish dealer. The Swedish guys had a very attractive price ... until you added on the +25% Swedish value added tax (I'm used to paying 16% in Germany). With shipping the price came to exactly the same as I would pay the one German supplier I have so far found. Looks like there is a recommended retail price in Western Europe and nobody is squeezing their margins on this one. As far a US dealers go I checked the Sound Room but they don't carry the Nevaton 416 at the moment. I also looked at a few dealers in Eastern Europe but their prices were way higher than the German price. Anyone know any other dealers, preferably in the EU ? A |

As they're exporting to Germany you should be able to persuade them to sell the mics VAT free and then just pay the German VAT when they arrive. Cheers. James. |
