I'm looking for the stylus for this turntable. Mine is the non-universal
type. I think the cartridge is a Shure OEM but a V15 type II does not seem to work properly. I have the service manual which is usless as it shows "SLT" on the stylus. Anyone know the correct stylus for this turntable? Thx |

Thanks for your reply. The unit pictured is the SLT-12U. The Empire 880
was a recommended option for the U = Universal mount. The non-U has a permenent mounted cartridge body. I tried to take apart but it is glued in place. I may try to find an SLT-12 U for parts and replace my arm with the universal arm unless I can identify the OEM cartridge. Jim "François Yves Le Gal" wrote in message ... Judging from the picture he http://www.classic-audio.com/marantz/pics/SLT.jpg The cart seems to have a golden body with a red tip and looks very much like an Empire 880, not a Shure V15. Can you precisely describe the cart fitted to your SLT 12? |
