I'm looking at picking up the e-mu 0404 card for my PC. I'm a bass
player and I'm looking to lay some tracks over basic drum loops. Does
anyone have any opinions on recording bass directly into the 1/4" input
on the e-mu or do I have to go out and get a nice preamp as well? I'm
hoping to not go the external preamp route.
