Default Wireless headphones cut out

I was wondering if this was a common problem with wireless
headphones, or if I just got a bad set. I use my RCA WHP-160's while
playing on my game console. Whenever there is a sudden level increase,
like thunder or a character starting to speak, the sound will often cut
out for a few seconds.

It has other problems as well. If you turn your head too much the
static increases quite a bit and can also make the phones cut out. I've
read that wireless headphones tend to be staticky, but these seem
pretty sensitive for being only 10' away from the base.

Do all wireless headphones suffer from this, or will I cure it by
spending the extra $$$ on a nicer set?

Thanks,
Mike McCormick
