Hey guys, I recently bought a Scott 222C Amplifier that is in superb
physical and cosmetic condition. BUT, it is blowing fuses. I powered it up using a variac, and light bulb, and the light bulb glowed ever so brightly... I tested the transformer with a vom, and indeed it is shorted. (The transformer is marked TR12-3-1) Some of you veteran tube gurus may have restored one of these, and maybe can give me some pointers on what to look for ??? Any and all advice and comments are welcome, And many thanks for your time, Mark |
