You've probably considered the following already, but many people who
sell via the web use eBay to reach their audience of customers. Gear on
eBay is probably seen by many more people than on the .forsale and
..marketplace newsgroups, so the eBay approach may work for you.

OTOH, I suppose every request for a part may be different and buyers
may want to negotiate over exactly which parts and gear they want. But
you could offer individual bits or groups of pieces on eBay too.

We have found our most successful customer relationships, lately, in
offering vintage parts for gear that our customers hold near to their
heart. That is our current niche. And the way we are heading for the
near future.

but
if that's what our customers are requesting and no one is coming up
to
the plate to buy the working piece for a price than we can stay in
business at, well so be it. We have no other choice.

We are glad to be in busines at a time when so many others are giving
up. And we will continue to serve our customers needs as long as we
make enough money to go on.
