Ok, for all of you veteran electronic gurus, here is another question
from a novice: I need to replace a 1/2 amp 125V Slo Blo fuse, and all I have been able to find is 1/2 amp 250V Slo blo. Is there any difference between a 1/2 amp 125V Slo Blo fuse and a 1/2 amp 250V Slo blo fuse. What is the difference, and will a 1/2 amp 250V Slo blo fuse work? Thanks, Marc |

The 250V fuse will work just fine, in fact, it gives you a better safety margain with respect to voltage. What is the difference, and will a 1/2 amp 250V Slo blo fuse work? Well, the one with the 250V rating is designed not to arc over when you use it on 250V or below. It just has a higher safety margain than the 125V fuse, and it's probably slightly different internally from the first generation of 125V fuses. Thanks, Marc |
