Hi everyone,

Some months ago I bought the above integrated amp, set it up
with two sets of speakers, Axiom, B&Ws & a JBL powered sub. I started
to notice fuzziness and signal loss on the left side (though the way
it's set up, with the sub right below the left speaker, I wasn't sure
for a while). I play CDs through a Pioneer DV 578A. At first I thought
it was the culprit, in part because I had nothing to compare it to. I
have an inexpensive tuner, but radio reception isn't clear. But just a
few minutes ago I was listening to the local jazz station and I heard
it distinctly, apart from static. Both right-side speakers get fuzzy,
and the sound falls off. When I turned off the pure direct and turned
the balance right, I barely heard anything.

When I turned the pure direct back on, the fuzziness
disappeared for a while, but now I hear it, especially at low volumes.
The fuzziness often disappears when the volume is raised. At least for
a while.

I also have a HeadRoom amp connected to one of the tape outs
on the same amp. When I listen to it, it sounds perfect, no fuzziness
or assymmetry in signal that I can detect.

Although I didn't pay a lot for it, I do like this amp. Is
there a common cause of this phenomenon, and is it something that can
be repaired within reason?
